Welcome to Tiny Tykes!

Tiny Tykes is a childminding service run by Kathryn Penton, an Ofsted (Office for Standards in Education) registered childminder, in the Bredbury Green/ Romiley area of Stockport, Cheshire.

As a mum to a young daughter and an experienced qualified primary teacher I offer fun, exciting activities for up to 6 children in a family setting with plenty of indoor play space and a fully enclosed child-friendly garden.

I am a member of the National Childminding Association of England and Wales (NCMA) with full public liability insurance. I have met all the safety standards required by Ofsted in order to register as a childminder. This includes having had full checks by the criminal records bureau (CRB) to ensure my suitability to work with children.

I had my first full Ofsted inspection in January 2006, and received a 'Good' grading (which I am assured is quite difficult to get for a first inspection!). I aim to develop children's interest in and knowledge of the world around them through a wide range of play and other day to day experiences. I will help children to develop their social skills through talk during play and helping them to interact with other children of different ages.
